Schools with a high proportion of students from minority cultures often show the weakest student performance. Canada needs to attract our best young teachers into those schools and insure that they have the understanding and skills to succeed.  This program will deepen education students’ interest in working in cross-cultural settings and better prepare them for the challenges they will face. In cooperation with the University of Alberta Faculty of Education, we will present a series of feature films that explore the meeting of cultures.  Each film will be preceded by a short lecture and followed by a discussion.
