Each year CMEF presents Harmony Brunch to commemorate the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. It brings together a rich cross-section of community leaders to explore issues in strengthening Canada’s multicultural fabric. In 2011 over 300 people attended including dignitaries from all levels of government and various community organizations.

Professor and Head of the Department of Immunology at the University of Manitoba, Dr. Moqbel is also passionate about multiculturalism.  Commited to efforts that encourage harmony and understanding among people around the world, Dr. Moqbel is a highly sought after speaker due to his uplifting and inspiring messages.  CMEF is honored to be hosting Dr. Moqbel as the keynote speaker at the 15th Annual Harmony Brunch where he will be giving a talk entitled "Diversity and harmony: Fundamental elements in health and life"
