In 1971 the Government of Canada announced its multiculturalism policy. As we approach the 40th anniversary of that announcement it has been useful to review and evaluate its impact on Canadian society and to explore opportunities for the future. This research will lead to discussions of the future of Canada’s multiculturalism policy by stakeholders, decision makers, government officials, and interested members of the public. A call for proposals was sent out and a scholar was contracted to conduct this research, which was completed in June this year.
